In 1999 the U.S Mint began an ambitious program to create a new quarter for each of the 50 U.S. states. Since then, for each year the U.S. Mint produced five new state quarters, with the program ending in 2008. Each quarter’s reverse design is unique and features the states history, traditions and symbols. State quarters are released in the order states were admitted into the Union.
The State Quarter series is sold with each year (five coins per year) enclosed in a 4" x 6" display case with a stand-up easel. Each State quarters set is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, 24-Karat Gold Overlay, or in a Colorized version.
