1976 Bicentennial Issue

The Bicentennial Washington Quarter issue began minting in 1975 and continued through December of 1976. The bicentennial issue features a dual-date “1776-1976” on the obverse of the coin commemorating the 200th anniversary of the independence of the United States. The reverse of the Bicentennial Washington Quarter was designed by Jack Ahr, and features a Colonial drummer boy.

Composition: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel bonded to a pure Copper Core
